As Pon.Bike navigates the swiftly evolving landscape of the global bicycle industry, the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) carries profound significance in shaping the company's trajectory. As the CTO you play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our technology strategy to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology and digital systems, including the required organizational and capability change, ensuring that our company remains at the forefront of technological advancements in the industry.

 

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Technology Strategy: Develop/update and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. 
  • IT organization: Design and implement the future IT organization that aligns with the strategic business plan, gives operating units the power to deliver and allows IT to provide business value in the most effective way.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust and scalable IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and software applications. Ensure the availability, security, and reliability of all IT systems. 
  • Digital Transformation: Drive the digital transformation initiatives across the organization, leveraging emerging technologies and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency, customer engagement, and business growth - enabling our business to deliver digital in a seamless way. Drive digital capability, i.e. the shift towards a more tech-savvy and data-driven mindset amongst the workforce.
  • ERP implementation: Responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance in our large-scale ERP roadmap, including implementation and updates to the SAP S/4 HANA ERP environment, ensuring it meets defined business goals and objectives.
  • Data Management and Analytics: Adopt and implement the data governance framework to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of company data.
  • IT Operations and Support: Lead the IT operations team in providing reliable and efficient IT services, including help desk support, system maintenance, and user training. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and select strategic technology vendors and manage relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services. Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance to optimize value for the company.
  • Cybersecurity: Establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity framework to protect company data and systems from potential threats. Implement best practices in cybersecurity and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in using technology to design and build market-leading customer journeys and experiences.
  • Strong and forward-looking understanding of technology trends and innovation and their potential impact on the business.
  • Good knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, and software development methodologies.
  • Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives, both culturally and operationally and implementing enterprise-wide systems across a matrixed organization and/ or delegated business model.
  • Proficient in data management, analytics, and business intelligence tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA or other relevant business qualifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in senior IT leadership roles (experience in discrete manufacturing industry, bicycle is a plus but not mandatory).
