Senior Accounting Specialist

As Senior Accounting Specialist you are a member of the Finance team reporting to the Accounting Controller. In this role, you contribute to managing and further developing the daily transactional Finance, Financial Reporting, Tax, Internal Controls & Compliance activities for CSG Europe & UK (CSG) in close cooperation with the Accounting Team and Corporate Finance. In short, this role offers diverse responsibilities in accounting and financial control. You will have significant responsibility and there will be plenty of learning opportunities while collaborating with the Accounting Team on various projects.

How You Will Contribute to the Team:

  • Identifying, analyzing, and communicating risks and opportunities to the Accounting Controller on a timely basis as well as ensuring any accounting/reporting issues are cleared up in a timely manner and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Support in building scalable processes.
  • Be the back-up for the Senior Accounting Specialist.
  • Provide support in month-end closing procedures to ensure appropriate and accurate financial accounting and reporting including preparation of group reporting’s.
  • Various analysis (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss).
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Various projects.
  • Support in managing and executing VAT-filings for Cannondale and its subsidiaries.

You feel at home in an organization where sportsmanship plays an important role. You have a good basis in accounting or controlling and now want to develop further. Both in depth (accounting technical issues) and in width (controlling). You want to improve continuously and you like a dynamic working environment.

Your experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or controlling is a benefit.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch required.
  • Ability to collaborate and prioritize in a multicultural and fast paced environment.
  • Analytical, hands-on, result driven and taking initiatives and ownership to drive changes. 
  • Know-how to roll up your sleeves and dive into detailed solutions when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
