How You'll Make an Impact:

Strategy

  • Develop and execute the strategic sales plan to meet targets, ensuring alignment with Marketing, Category Planning, and other regions.
  • Analyze market trends to forecast sales and establish contingency plans.
  • Communicate and implement the strategy across teams.
  • Contribute to the annual Marketing strategy.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Develop UK commercial programs and provide market feedback to aid product development and sales trends.

Account Management

  • Support Outside Account Managers with key strategic accounts.
  • Develop custom business plans, including rebates for larger accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Inside Sales Team to ensure adequate support for OAMs and address concerns.

Sales Targets

  • Work with the European Sales Director and Leaders to set and communicate annual sales targets.
  • Achieve or exceed these targets through effective sales team leadership.
  • Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly objectives to meet annual goals and collaborate with the internal sales team regularly.

Forecasting

  • Complete weekly and monthly forecasts, ensuring high collaboration, accuracy, and process consistency.
  • Establish sales objectives, quotas, and participate in demand forecasting, S&OP, and inventory meetings, providing feedback and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Operations Analyst to enhance sales reporting tools.

Networking/Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Gather customer feedback, recommend improvements, and support the
  • Marketing team with insights for the in-territory strategy.
  • Communicate value propositions in proposals and presentations, and represent the business at conferences and networking events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities.

Team Management

  • Manage the Outside Sales teams to achieve business sales goals and maximize profit for the IBD channel in the UK.
  • Motivate staff to enhance customer service and coach Account Managers to drive P&L targets.
  • Adjust sales resources through recruitment, training, and restructuring as needed. O
  • versee company processes including Performance Reviews, Absence Management, and Welfare Management.
  • Engage the team by managing sales goals, monitoring performance, and implementing sales tactics.
  • Plan quarterly meetings and foster a positive work environment aligned with Cannondale’s values and culture.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years of sales management experience, including people leadership and a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with the independent bike dealer network in the UK. Strong communication skills to present strategies and results at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships and skill in negotiating critical contracts.
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques, CRM, and SAP is a plus.
  • Must possess a full driving license.
